I photograph cars and people. Two of the most expressive and captivating things known to mankind.

My focus is always on the specific details of my subjects i.e chrome, curvature, faces, fashion, design, form, energy etc

Typically my shoots will take place outdoors during daylight hours. Shooting with film is slightly more limiting than digital photography and a good source of light is usually always required.

I discuss on a project-by-project basis where and when a shoot will take place. I’m based on the northern edge of Brisbane and can readily travel up and down the coast of Southeast Queensland.

Primarily I use a ‘late model’ Pentax 67 medium format camera, combined with an assortment of spectacular lenses to cover a wide variety of situations and environments.
The 67 produces film negatives that contain very high levels of detail. These images can be used on an array of platforms once digitized.
All portfolio images you see on this sight were taken on my 67.

After the shoot and the time it takes to develop the film I will forward you a dropbox link containing high resolution digital versions of your photographs.

I price each commission accordingly based on shooting location, filmstock used, turnaround times etc. Please get in contact with me to discuss details, I will then be able to give a more accurate price estimation.

The only edit I will make to my photography is a bit of cropping when necessary. If a shot needs rotating I will do that too. I consider this to be the best way to display the natural aesthetic and charm of filmstock that has been used.

Typically if I miss a shot in terms of light exposure, contrast, colour composition or focus area; then I’ve missed the shot. That’s film baby!

I shoot a variety of medium format filmstocks through my Pentax 67 including;
Kodak Gold, Kodak Portra 160 and 400, Kodak Ektar 1OO, Ilford HP5+ B&W, Ilford XP2 B&W

I am able to use other stocks on request but this may be restricted by availability, pricing etc.

As per the Slap! Photography content contract, I retain ownership of all the negatives I take. I archive them accordingly in my library as this makes it easy to find them again and reproduce images should you need copies in the future.

Due to current 35mm filmstock shortages in Australia, I do not offer any 35mm photography as part of my services.
